H.E. The Delegate for the Caribbean of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George.


Anthony Bailey was appointed by decree of the Grand Master as Delegate for the Caribbean in 2015 and together with the Prior and Council co-ordinates the activities of the Order across the region. Anthony simultaneously serves as the Order’s worldwide Magistral Delegate for Inter-Religious Relations, Secretary General of the Royal Order of Francis I and Deputy of the Royal Deputation within the Grand Magistry in Rome. Anthony holds the rank of Knight Grand Cross of Merit and Gold Benemerenti Medal of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George and Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Order of Francis I.

Anthony has been active in the Caribbean region for over 30 years having first become involved with the Marian Homes in St Lucia through longstanding Constantinian Order knight, the late Nicola Vecchione, and his parish at the Sacred Heart Church in Ruislip. Anthony is tasked by the Grand Master to co-ordinate and lead the inter-island and international, charitable and interfaith projects associated with the Order across the Caribbean region. His role as Delegate includes representing the Constantinian Order in the Caribbean region, reporting to the Grand Master on the activities of the Delegation, meeting with church, faith and state officials and coordinating several charitable projects including schools, restoration of places of worship and community led initiatives supporting those less fortunate in society in Antigua & Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada and St Lucia.

As Delegate of the Caribbean Anthony co-ordinated key elements of the high-level visits made over recent years by the Grand Master of the Constantinian Order HRH Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro to Antigua & Barbuda and Dominica and of the Order’s Grand Prior His Eminence Renato Raffaele Cardinal Martino to Antigua & Barbuda, Dominica, St Vincent & Grenadines, Barbados and Grenada.

In 2015, as Delegate for the Caribbean Anthony coordinated and supported key elements of the visits made by the delegations lead by HE The Governor General of Antigua & Barbuda and by HE The Governor General and HE The Foreign Minister of Grenada to Vatican City, Rome and London.

Anthony has received several awards in recognition of his voluntary services. In 2009 His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI appointed Anthony as a Knight Grand Cross of the Pontifical Order of Pope St Sylvester (GCSS) and in 2008 in Britain in 2008 was appointed as an Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to Inter-Faith Relations and to Charity.
