Governor General and Foreign Minister of Grenada visit the Constantinian Order in Rome

Rome, November 2015. On the occasion of the Official Visit to Vatican City of the Governor General of Grenada, HE Dame Cecile La Grenade, a high level delegation from Grenada held a meeting in Rome with the senior officers of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George.

The high level delegation of Grenada, led by the Governor General and which included the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Hon Dr Clarice Modeste Curwen, MP held a meeting with the Grand Prior, His Eminence Renato Raffaele Cardinal Martino, and the Grand Chancellor, HRH Princess Beatrice of Bourbon Two Sicilies. HE Anthony Bailey, Delegate for the Caribbean and Dr Nobile Fabrizio Ratto Vaquer, Vice-Delegate for the City of Rome were present.

The meeting in Rome followed the recent Official Visit to Grenada of the Constantinian Order in June 2015 led by the Grand Prior Cardinal Martino, where a series of multi-million dollar charitable projects in the country were launched.

An Exchange of Honours ceremony took place between the Grand Magistry of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George and the Government of Grenada.

HE Dame Cecile La Grenade, Governor General of Grenada was invested as a Grand Cross with Gold Star within Special Category of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George. The Hon Dr Clarice Modeste-Curwen, MP was honoured with the rank of Dame Grand Cross of Merit of the same Order.

The Governor General honoured the Grand Master, HRH The Duke of Castro, the Grand Prior, HE Renato Raffaele Cardinal Martino, and HE Anthony Bailey for their commitment to the well-being of the people of Grenada with the rank of Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of the Nation within the Order of Grenada.
